I found out something tonight... Little-Miss-Mia's photographs, as well as some of her orphanage brothers and sisters, are being displayed in a gallery in California. I wasn't aware that her pictures were not only going to be displayed, but sold as well. When I found out that the procedes from the sale of the pictures were going to the organization that helps support her orphange, I lightened up. There's the shock, now for awe. The great thing is that I recognize most of the children in the orphanage photos and can say with 100% certainty that all the ones I know of personally have been adopted to truly wonderful and loving homes. They are no longer the pitiful lonely orphans depicted in the pictures. They are all very much loved and thriving in their families.
Seeing these photos of Miss Mia broke my heart for her all over again. Especially the one where she's sucking her thumb (vn 51 smsm), a habit she broke all on her own without any coercing from us. A true sign to me of how settled she is here and how much she feels the love we have for her.
